The Ultion was designed to be the best anti-snap cylinder on the market and Brisant are so confident about their product that they will give you £1000 if a burglar gets into your home by snapping a Ultion.

Generally, a standard lock will fall apart when snapped, but not the Ultion. Instead, the Ultion has two sacrificial sections which intentionally break away when snapped to prevent the burglar having access to the cam (the part which opens the lock when turned). A firing pin then enters the cam preventing it moving from the outside. The Ultion is designed so that the door can be unlocked from inside.

The Ultion has 11 pins inside (5 more than a standard lock). The pins are designed to prevent the lock being opened by ‘picking’ or ‘bumping’. The ultion also has 20 extra pins, made from hardened steel, which prevent drilling the lock open.

 The Ultion has 294,000  key variations (almost 5 times more than a standard cylinder).
