Front Wooden Doors - Should be fitted with a British Standard 5-lever Mortice Lock located one third of the way up the door. A Deadlocking Night Latch should also be fitted one third of the way down the door.

Back Wooden Doors - Should be fitted with a British Standard 5-lever Mortice Sashlock and two Mortice Rack Bolts or Surface Mounted Press Bolts.

UPVC Doors - Should have a minimum of three locking points. Also make sure that you always lock the door with a key, as simply pushing the handle up does not prevent someone from entering.

Sliding Patio Doors - Require anti-lift devices to prevent them from being lifted from their runner.
